Thesis Semester

I’m excited to report that I have a wonderful advising committee lined up for my thesis work this semester: Susan Viguers, Hedi Kyle, Winifred Lutz, and Eve Ingalls. I feel very lucky to be getting their input and guidance and I know they’ll keep me motivated.

I’ve spent most of my winter break in the studio experimenting. It feels like ninety percent of what I try doesn’t pan out, but I’m starting to accept that this is how I work. Try ten things to get one interesting result that is worth developing into something good. Here are some of the latest tests that I think I’ll be pursuing further. All are handmade abaca with various inclusions and dyes.
