This was a year of multiple Valentine projects:
1) A tiny (2.5" x 3.5") copperplate etching I made to test out some of the new non-toxic materials and techniques in the SSAC studio.
2) A proof of antique printers' blocks at the SSAC letterpress studio turned into a silly little card. These were printed on paper made from elephant poop.
3) I helped my stepdaughter letterpress print a card that she designed herself... a surprisingly bold message for a nine-year-old who is usually pretty shy. The inside was printed from a photopolymer plate and the front was printed with hand-set wood type from the collection at Carnegie Mellon.
