I just became the proud owner of my first printing press - an old Showcard press from the Ann Arundel County Library Headquarters outside of Annapolis. It's nowhere near the sophistication of the Vandercooks or Windmills I fantasize about, but it's a start. It's small but sturdy; a well-used "workhorse", as the graphic designer who donated it affectionately referred to it. It came with a set of mostly institutional typefaces to play with, in large point sizes. I think it'll come in handy for printing linoleum cuts at home too.
